The Brinson Firm was founded by J. Kemp Brinson after spending nine years practicing with other firms in Polk County, Florida. In addition to providing quality legal representation, Kemp has been honored for his community leadership and pro bono representation of abused and neglected children.

The Lakeland Ledger published profiles of Kemp on November 4, 2012 and May 8, 2011. He also had an op-ed published in The Ledger on November 7, 2011 about being a guardian ad litem volunteer. He regularly speaks about employment law at chamber of commerce events and gatherings of human resources professionals.
